Akron, Ohio – April 13, 2012 -- The Akron Racers announced two new partnerships today with “The Fast Lane" bowling and party center in Barberton, Ohio and Pandora Cupcakes in Fairlawn, Ohio.
The Fast Lane will be providing a gate-giveaway item of a free game of bowling for fans before an Akron Racers home game this season.
The Fast Lane offers a wide variety of things that you can do when you attend besides your regular bowling. They have a game room with pool tables. A nice bar area, a conference room where you can hold your event at and of course a kid favorite, cosmic bowling! The Fast Lane is located in Barberton, OH at 193 Wooster Rd. #7. It is in the complex next to Giant Eagle.
On Opening Day (June 7), the first 500 fans through the gates of Firestone Stadium will receive a voucher good for one free cupcake courtesy of Pandora Cupcakes.
Pandora Cupcakes has a wide variety of cupcake flavors to satisfy anyone’s taste buds. Everyday flavors include, Chocolate on Chocolate, Vanilla on Vanilla, Red Velvet, Mint on Chocolate. Some of their specialty flavors include, Buckeye, Cookies n’ Cream, PB & J, Sports Fan.

Opening Night for the 2012 season at Firestone Stadium is on Thursday, June 7 at 7:05 p.m. The Racers will play an exhibition game June 4 vs. the Northeast Ohio College All-stars at 7:05 pm.

About the Akron Racers: The Akron Racers, headquartered in Akron, OH, are the oldest existing team in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league. The Racers competed in the Women's Pro Softball League (WPSL) for two seasons in 1999 and 2000 and in the NPF since 2004. Historic Firestone Stadium is home to the Racers and numerous amateur events at all levels of play. The Racers kick-off their 11th season of play in 2012.
