NPF CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Nashville, Tenn. – May 21, 2012 - National Pro Fastpitch announced today that all tickets for the NPF Championship Series are now available for purchase.  The 2012 NPF Championship Series will be played at The Ballpark at Rosemont, in Rosemont, Ill., August 23-26.
The NPF Championship Series is hosted by the Village of Rosemont in cooperation with National Pro Fastpitch.
The NPF Championship Series is the league’s hallmark event and is designed to feature the outstanding talent of the NPF in a playoff/tournament format. All four NPF teams will qualify for the Championship Series and post-season seeds are based on final regular season standings.
The playoff format is a best of three series between the No. 1 and No. 4 seed, along with a best of three series between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, with the winners of those two series’ facing off in a best of three final series to crown the 2012 NPF Champion.
The last time the NPF Championship Series was hosted in the Chicago area, in 2005, the Akron Racers went home as NPF Champions.
For ticket purchases, the NPF Championship Series will be broken into individual games. However, a six game package is available for purchase but the games will be ticketed individually. Games five, six, and nice are “if needed games” in the series format and those games will not be available for purchase until it is evident through the competition that they will actually take place.
