Akron, OH –May 9, 2012 – The Akron Racers are pleased to announce the Alzheimer’s Awareness week, June 7-10, as a part of the 2012 Season of Caring.
Starting with opening day on June 7 through June 10, the Racers and Firestone Stadium will host three special events- 95.5 the Fish & Morning Show Host Len Howser will appear (June 7), Alfac Night (June 9) and the first Pepsi Kids Day of the season (June 10). In addition to the promotional nights Subways will be giving free tickets away to the June 8 ballgame. As an added bonus there will be a Pandora’s Cupcake giveaway on June 10 for the first 400 fans.
Fans can receive Akron Racers merchandise on a discount with a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or when you join the racers “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” team.
Alzheimer’s Awareness week features the following players: Kristina Thorson, Lisa Norris, Nicole Trimboli, Taylor Schlopy, Sam Marder, and the rest of the Racers against Carolina Diamonds Danielle Spaulding, Rachel Folden, Caitlin Lever and Bianca Mejia
