AKRON, OH – August 8, 2012 – The Akron Racers are pleased to announce that their final softball clinic of the 2012 NPF season will take place Tuesday, August 14 at Firestone Stadium.
Participants ages 8-12 will begin their clinic at 10:00 a.m. and work on hitting, pitching, catching and base running until 12:00 p.m. The 14-18 age groups will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. that same day.
Players are encouraged to sign up to get a first-hand experience learning from a professional athlete. The Softball Clinics look to improve skills in hitting and defense, as well as to focus on the fundamentals of blocking, receiving, and throwing a ball.
There is still time to sign up for the last clinic, each clinic costs $60.00 and day-of registration is $75.

The Akron Racers play their last two weekend series of the NPF season at the Firestone Stadium starting August 9. First the Racers will take on the Chicago Bandits coming all the way from the Windy City, and then they will challenge the USSSA Florida Pride one last time before heading to the championships. Tickets are on sale for both weekends, August 9-12 and August 16-19 and can be ordered by calling 330-376-8188.
