Akron, OH – The Akron Racers are currently taking applications for summer employment for the regular seasons as well as the amateur events. The Racers are looking to increase their staff with friendly, outgoing people who enjoy working with the public. A wide variety of positions are available for those looking for a job during summer break from school or wanting some additional work on the weekends and make some extra cash.
The first position that needs to be filled is the Concession Supervisor, who will be responsible for the supervision of the concession staff and the operation of the concession stand during games and tournaments. Experience in food and beverage is required as well as a mature and responsible outlook and positive attitude.
Other food related positions include waiting on fans at the concession stand, grill work, and ice cream scoopers. We are also seeking beer stand employees who must be at least 21 years old to apply. Training will be provided for all of these areas in food and beverage.
The Racers are also looking for cashiers, ticket takers, and merchandise employees during game days. For those who wish to be more involved with the action of the game, working the scoreboard or joining the grounds crew might sound like a good fit. Employees must be responsible and mature, and training will be provided for all of the jobs.
