Racers Announce Assistant Manager

RACERS NAME DUSTIN COMBS TO COACHING STAFF
Veteran William Jewell Coach Accepts Assistant Manager Position
Akron, OH…Akron Racers, GM, Joey Arrietta announced today that Dustin Combs will join recently named Field Manager, Brian Levin, as the Racers assistant field manager for the 2014 season. Combs, currently serves as the head coach at the William Jewell University where he has led the Cardinal program for the past eight seasons.
 
“Dustin brings veteran leadership and a solid history of success,” noted Arrietta. “I am looking forward to working with both Brian and Dustin on directing our program for the next several seasons.”
 
“This is a tremendous honor to be named the assistant field manager for the Akron Racers,” remarked Combs.  “I’m looking forward to being a part of the game at the highest level of competition with an organization with the reputation that Racers have.  “
 
Combs has established a winning tradition posting seven consecutive winning seasons in his eight years at William Jewell. His teams have qualified for seven straight conference tournament championships. The Cardinal compiled a 32-15 record in 2013 earning a second place finish in the West Division of the GLVC.
