All-NPF Pitcher Sarah Pauly Sings Contact With The Racers

Veteran pitcher eyes opportunity to continue playing in the NPF with Racers

Akron, OH—Joey Arrietta announced today that Sarah Pauly has signed a contract to continue playing in the NPF with the Akron Racers for the 2015 Akron season. The Racers obtained the rights to Pauly from the Rebellion for the 8th overall pick in the 2015 NPF Draft and the Racers 3rd round pick in the 2016 draft.

“This is an exciting time for the Racers,” explains Arrietta. “Her record of success in our league provides Akron with a legitimate opportunity to return to the championship game in 2015.”

Pauly has been a workhorse in each of her nine seasons since joining the NPF in 2006. Her 91 wins tops the all-time league leaderboard while maintaining an incredible 2.02 ERA in a league that has included the best hitters in the world.

“The Akron Racers have always been a very competitive team in the NPF,” describes Pauly.” It is a great honor that I am now able to play for a team I have faced throughout my career. I am thankful to continue my career as a Racer with an organization I have respected throughout my career in the NPF.”

Pauly, the 6’3 former collegiate All-American and right-handed pitcher from Phoenix, AZ, played collegiately for the Corpus Christi Islanders, from 2002-2005 and owns virtually all the pitching records. She joined the NPF in 2006 and currently has the most wins (91) and innings pitched (1038.2) innings pitched through her nine seasons. She is one of five NCAA Division I pitchers to win 100 games, strikeout 1,000 batters, maintain a -1.00 ERA and average double digit strikeouts in a career.

Pauly is currently the pitching coach at her alma mater, the University of Texas, Corpus Christi.
