A statistical look at the 2016 Akron Racers draftees through their senior seasons.  Focusing on the week of April 8-15.

 

Jailyn Ford, P, James Madison

 

Last Game: Played first base, 0-3, 0 R, 0 RBI in 5-1 conference win over the College of Charleston.

Past Week: Pitching: 1-0, 7.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 CG

Hitting: 3 games, 2-6, 5 BB, 5 R, 2 RBI, 2 HR

This Season: Pitching: 13-1, 99.2 IP, 53 H, 26 BB, 107 K, 0.98 ERA

Hitting: .304 batting average, 26 R, 21 RBI, 6 2B, 2 3B, 8 HR

 

Recap: This past weekend James Madison went 3-0 against the College of Charleston, Ford threw a complete game victory without allowing an earned run and hitting two home runs in a 4-3 win in the second game of a double header on April 9.

 

Sami Fagan, SS, Missouri

Last Game: 3-4, 3 R, 1 RBI in 9-2 win over Wichita State on 4/13.

Past Week: 5 games, 6-16, 5 R, 2 RBI

This Season: .450 batting average, 43 R, 40 RBI, 7 2B, 0 3B, 10 HR

 

Recap: Fagan went 4-7 with four runs scored in a mid-week double header sweep of Wichita State on April 13

 

Alex Hugo, 2B, Georgia

Last Game: 3-4, 3 R, 2 RBI, 2 HR in 15-0 win over Georgia Tech in 5 innings on 4/13.

Past Week: 4 games, 6-12, 6 R, 4 RBI, 1 2B, 3 HR

This Season: .313 batting average, 46 R, 36 RBI, 15 2B, 8 HR

 

Recap: Georgia went 4-0 this past week with wins against Georgia Tech and Missouri.  Hugo hit .500 in the four games.

 

Geri Ann Glasco, UT, Oregon

Last Game: 2-3, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 HR in 9-0 win over Oregon State in five innings on 4/10.

Past Week: Hitting: 3 games, 3-8, 3 R, 3 RBI, 1 2B, 1 HR

Pitching: 1 game, 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, No Decision

This Season: Hitting: .374 batting average, 15 R, 25 RBI, 10 2B, 8 HR

Pitching: 6-0, 53.2 IP, 42 H, 12 BB, 42 K, 2.09 ERA

 

Recap: The Ducks swept Oregon State 3-0 in Corvalis.  Glasco scored three runs and drove in 3 RBI in the series, also threw two hitless innings of relief.

 

Sandra Simmons, 1B, LSU

Last Game: 4-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 2B, 1 SB in 9-1 win over SE Louisiana on 4/13.

Past Week: 4 games, 6-17, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 2B

This Season: .336 batting average, 24 R, 24 RBI, 6 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR

 

Recap: LSU snapped a three-game losing streak last Wednesday against Southeast Louisiana with a 9-1 victory.  Simmons scored two runs and drove in 2 RBI in the win.

 

Hannah Day, C, Troy

Last Game: 1-3, 1 RBI in 8-6 loss to Samford on 4/13.

Past Week: 4 games, 3-14, 1 R, 3 RBI, 1 HR

This Season: .346 batting average, 36 R, 55 RBI, 8 2B, 1 3B, 15 HR

 

Recap: Troy swept a double header against Louisiana Munroe last weekend.  Day went 2-8 with one run and two RBI and tied the first game in the top of the seventh inning with a sacrifice fly that allowed the Trojans the opportunity to win in extra innings.

 

Emily Messer, UT, South Alabama

Last Game: 0-3, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 SB in 7-3 win over Texas-Arlington on 4/10.

Past Week: 3 games, 3-9, 4 R, 0 RBI

This Season: .463 batting average, 34 R, 16 RBI, 8 2B, 5 3B, 0 HR

 

Recap: South Alabama swept three games from Texas-Arlington last weekend.  Messer scored at least one run and drew one walk in each of the three games.

 

Hannah Perryman, P, Missouri-St. Louis

Last Game: 5.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 6 K in 8-4 win over Missouri S&T on 4/10

Past Week: 4 games, 4-0, 33.0 IP, 18 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 60 K

This Season: 36-2, 261.2 IP, 122 H, 38 BB, 445 K, 0.94 ERA

 

Recap: Missouri-St. Louis swept consecutive double headers last week in which Perryman earned the win in all four games.  Perryman threw a complete game 12 inning 1-0 victory on April 10 in which she struck out 23 hitters.
