MICRO FANTASY PARTNERS WITH AKRON RACERS FOR 2017 SOFTBALL SEASON

Play-by-Play Prediction Contests Offered by Second National Pro Fastpitch Team

Brecksville, Ohio – Micro Fantasy LLC has announced a partnership with the Akron Racers to provide its Micro Fantasy play-by-play prediction contests for all Racers 2017 home games. Now in its 16th season of play, the Racers are the oldest existing team in National Pro Fastpitch. The league recently partnered with Micro Fantasy for its 2017 College Draft in April. Micro Fantasy was also piloted at the 2016 National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series.

All attendees of 2017 Akron Racers home games with the Micro Fantasy app installed on their mobile phones (iPhone or Android) can participate in Micro Fantasy predication contests. Those watching through npf-tv.com can also participate in the contests.

Contest participants predict the results of game action in real-time. Points are awarded for correct predictions. The participant with the highest point total is the contest winner.  There are two contests each game.

“We are always looking to leverage the latest sports marketing technology to enhance our in-game experience and provide added value to our sponsors,” said Akron Racers General Manager Joey Arrietta. “We are confident Micro Fantasy contests will take us to a new level in both regards and are excited to offer them at all Racers home games this season.”

Version 1.7 of the Micro Fantasy prediction contest mobile app is currently available for download through the Apple App Store and Google Play. An online version is also available on microfantasy.com.

Other teams and leagues offering Micro Fantasy prediction contests include the Chicago Bandits (home games), also of National Pro Fastpitch, Cleveland Indians (all games), and Florida League (all games). In-person attendees at these games, as well as television/online viewers and radio listeners, can participate in associated Micro Fantasy contests.

“The Chicago Bandits launched Micro Fantasy contests several weeks ago and have had outstanding participation,” said Micro Fantasy Founder and CEO Joel Crites. “We expect the Akron Racers to have similar results and look forward to working with them.”

Micro Fantasy LLC plans to announce partnerships with other teams in the near future to provide Micro Fantasy prediction contests during their games. It will also announce the availability of Micro Fantasy prediction contests for several more sports.
