BATON ROUGE, LA – After outstanding seasons and helping to lead the Akron Racers to the 2017 NPF Championship Series, Akron outfielders A.J. At last year’s Awards Banquet, Andrews was named the first female softball player to win a Rawlings Gold Glove, though she passed the honor of winning the Rawlings Gold Glove to USSSA Pride catcher Chelsea Goodacre, Andrews turned in another tremendous defensive season after transitioning to centerfield this season for the Racers.

Robinson also posted a career-year, excelling in her third season and surpassing many of her personal bests, starting with doubling her career home run total after hitting eight home runs this season.  Robinson’s .297 batting average, .321 on-base percentage and .531 slugging percentages were also her highest clips in the NPF.  Her 38 hits, 21 runs, 30 RBI and six stolen bases were all career highs.
The South Carolina-Upstate product finished tied for fifth in the NPF in RBI, seventh in home runs and seventh in slugging percentage this season.  Robinson led the Racers in RBI and slugging percentage.
